Founding members of Pack 185, holding their Earth Flag |
“The demographics of Pine County are rapidly changing,” said
Rabbi Yonassan Gershom, Cubmaster of the new Pack, “and there were several
families who wanted a Scout group that would be more open to that
diversity. We intend to be
multicultural, interfaith, and disability-friendly, as well focus on nature
study and the environment. Our
programming will honor holidays and religious traditions from around the
world.”
Starting on April 3rd, Pack 185 will meet at
Finlayson Elementary School on the first and fourth Wednesdays of the month
during the school year, as well hold various activities at the Audubon Center during the summer. For
further information, contact Rabbi Gershom at 320-245-5448 or Jill Bonn at
320-279-9012.
(We are collecting aluminum cans as an ongoing fundraiser, so if you live in our area and want to donate some, please contact Rabbi Gershom to arrange pickup.)

I welcome discussion and debate on my blog. However, antisemitic, racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, or other hate speech will be deleted at my discretion. So will any posts attempting to convert Jews to other religions, or to preach at me about the Messiah. I am happy in my religion and intend to stay there. Period. Please remember that we all share the same planet, regardless of our disagreements.
